Dishwasher Mode for AI Tasks

My dishwasher takes ninety minutes for a normal cycle. By hand, I'd be much faster than that! So what's the point of a dishwasher?

I thought of this recently when I tested out Fable (and now Opus 5.5) on a few basic computer-use tasks. It is decidedly slower at navigating a website than I would be, because it has to fire up the full reasoning apparatus to figure out which button to click.

However slow it was, in the end it got the job done exactly as requested (change some design on our homepage's buttons, in the most recent case). And in my view, execution accuracy is far more important than execution efficiency. The point of delegation isn't that it gets done faster that way. The point is that it gets done at all while you do something else. It wouldn't make any material difference to me if my dishwasher's cycle was 120 minutes instead. But if it would leave the dishes dirty, no matter how fast the cycle was, I'd be unhappy.

The perfect tasks for this have narrow scope with high annoyance factor and aren't on a bottlenecked path, i.e., if AI takes longer than you without slowing down anything downstream, because it just needs to get done eventually, that's a perfect use case.
