I've noticed two distinct reactions when the nWave product discovery agent tells me that there's a much simpler solution to the problem I suggested a fancy app or AI solution for:
If it was for a problem I had myself, I'm delighted: Now I don't have to build a custom solution and get my problem solved right away. How awesome.
If it was for a problem I envisioned solving for millions of paying customers, I'm dejected. "Well, there goes thatidea."
It's interesting experiencing both sentiments in different situations. My reaction in situation 1 is how users would feel if you solved the problem for them by recommending an easy solution. You'd be doing them a great service. The reaction in situation 2 occurs if you fall in love with your solution rather than with the users whose problems you want to solve.
